Sweet basil is the best known of all. Its large, hemmed leaves make it deliciously appetising.
Excellent chopped on a raw vegetable or pasta dish, or in pesto. Divine as a dessert, in a fresh fruit salad.
Sweet basil grows faster above 22°C. Wait until there are 2 layers of leaves before harvesting for the first time (around 15 to 20 cm high). Cut the stem 1 cm above a node.
It will grow back into two stems. This will give you a fuller plant.
Harvest the tallest leaves first and those that shade the other Lingots. Never cut off the leaves and leave the stem, as this will weaken the plant.
Make sure it always has good access to light.
A little tip: set the lighting mast as high as possible to accelerate growth.
