Rhinanthus minor or Yellow Rattle. If you want a grassland rich in species with diverse flora and fauna, Yellow Rattle can be a valuable tool. Yellow Rattle itself is a beautiful plant, very attractive to bumblebees. It forms short (15 to 4 cm) bright yellow hooded flower spikes with a purple-pink base and olive-green leaves. Seeding at 1 gram per square meter does not need to be evenly seeded because it usually spreads. To sow, harrow the grass vigorously, or sow in places that have been trampled by animals-the key is that it needs to be in contact with the soil. Don't cover the seeds, just press them down with your feet or rollers.
Sow as needed from August to December. The seeds can be well preserved in a cool and dry place, but if you sow too early in this season, the seeds will not survive on the wet ground.
This is a plant that grows on low-fertility grasslands. It has obvious yellow flowers and is used to create cracks in the grass to grow other wild flowers. The seeds will not last long in the soil. It is sown naturally in June and these seeds are buried in the soil to benefit from the cold winter weather before germinating in spring snapdragon seed.
